This Project is made to honor the Vietnamese Boat People. Hundred thousand of them died on sea without any trace nor proper funeral. I would like to make a proper funeral, a ritual offerings to them with a hope that they could rest in peace. And my heart would at last be at ease when I think of them.
Incense fragrant is a major element of this project, along with cheese cloth. Everyday I came to work on this installation, I burnt incense and peacefully, quietly enjoy the moment of me, my work and a conversation between us.
